Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! Target just raised the ante!! Somebody catch me cause I’m about to pass the hell out.
Alexander McQueen is coming to Target. Budget Babe where I get my daily fashion news fix – just did a blog blast about it! Somebody help me!! Just when I was trying to act like I got some good sense about my spending habits, Target goes and does the unthinkable! I read rumors but thought he would be going to Australia like the rest of the high-profile designers. I got to get an on-line subscription to WWD, I’m missing out on important fashion info. Alexander McQueen will be the first designer in the “Designer Collaborations” a new guest-designer collection that Target will market to the Isaac Mizrahi crowd.

Hot damn, that’s so great. Sooo jealous!! I think I’d be camping outside Target for McQueen collaboration.
Girl, you know that right!! I’m going there the night before right around closing to see if they start working the merchandise out on the floor – if not Plan B – I will get my friend who has morning hours to put all my stuff at customer service for me and I will be there at 7:00am.
I would love for Stella McCartney, Rebecca Taylor, Tracey Reese, Betsey Johnson, Max Mara, Jill Stuart, Jenni Kayne, Marni and Moschino to do collections for Target under this new collaboration line. I’d be broke but happy as hell!
Well, when Zac Posen did his range for Target in Australia, the prices for a dress started at AU$179. Now, the cheapest clothes here are always more expensive than in America, but that might give you a guide anyway, since it’s Designers for Target.
I didn’t know that – thanks for the heads up. I know it will be a higher price point then the Go International Collection, since that is geared toward the younger set.
The McQ for Target is definitely collector item stuff, so I can’t miss out on this.
woo-hoo! Tar-Jay all the way. I live in that store anyway!
Soooo excited.
The bourgeoisie hate that McQueen is doing a collection for Target. Anything that takes away their “exclusive designer” status – they just hate it.
I’m overjoyed myself.
I can’t believe I never read your “About” page to find out you were only 5 feet tall! I just read about it on Budget Babe’s website and was SHOCKED. I was sure you were at least 5′8″ too! I’m only 5 feet tall, too! I’m going to have to start following the way you dress, because seriously, you look so tall in your pictures!
Thanks Nic – its those 5 inch stilettos LOL. I figured it’s better to keep your clothes close to the body and keep clean classic lines, but you know what the only girls that Budget Babe featured layered alot and she looked great!!
I guess if you are a very small size (0/2) at 5 feet layering would work. My sister is a 0 and she can layer all day long. I’m an average 4 so I tend to stay away from over layering. One t-shirt or turtleneck under a cardigan, jacket or another shirt is about all I will do.
Ohh…this is exciting!
Girl stop!!!! This is the best new I’ve heard all week. I can’t wait to see what he has designed for Target.
Nothing in the McQueen Line for Target over 129.99.
