She grab the box right out of hand and had them on in seconds. Those are some “funky” sneakers for real! I wish I could rockin ‘em but they are for the twentysomething and younger crowd. ;-(
I think those are cute. I’m not really a sneaker gal, but I do like those. I’m into more of the classic chic, but I have seen some girls totally rock those bad boys. I love the name of these shoes too. Pastry has got to be the cutest name for these shoes. They do remind me of a cupcake with the colors and the “sprinkles.” I hope your niece enjoys her new shoes!
So I just went to look up Pastry and all of the shoes have food associated names. Like blueberry hi-tops and blackberry hi-tops. I think that is pretty creative names for shoes. Also, they carry low top shoes as well. Oh, the designers of the line are DJ run’s (run-dmc) daughters. Very neat marketing brand and neat concept of these shoes.
I love how sneakers have evolved to a new “fashion height” they are just alot more fun and interesting to wear then the plain all bland 70s Pro-Keds we use to wear back in day when I was in Junior High School. I think the hip-hop culture has really taken athletic gear and footwear to a whole other level.
Yes, Run’s little girls are doing their thang! I love their concept!
I graduated high school in 2003 and most of the girls did not wear colorful sneakers. Everything was either white, black, or white with 1 color added. The boys always had colorful basketball shoes. However, they wore white k-swiss or Jordans most often. Now, I have noticed that converse shoes are really popular, and that the girls are wearing more colorful shoes. It is interesting how style changes over time and how “everything old becomes new again.”
Ok, it could be me, and probably is, because my 17 yr old wants a pair, but I hate these shoes!! I just can get myself around all the colors and what outfit? Yuck. LOL
I'm a fortysomething year old hard working mom that loves fashion, but my purse string ain't so flexible! My 19 year old son is off at college, so I got some time on my hands *wink* Now that you got the 5 second rundown; pull up a chair, get that Latte and browse around.
Glad your niece loves them! I have some Cake Runners, and they’re pretty tight!
