SUNDAY, JULY 20TH

Wayyy too hot today. Got to be at least 100 degrees right now. Staying in the house after service today — that heat is too much for me and I can’t be burning the air in my car at $4.05 a gallon, ya know!

  1. Love the bright colors!

  2. Your style is FABULOUS! You should start your own business as a stylist.

  3. Thank you Maz, I’m just trying to do the best I can with what I got. I ain’t got no Prada or no Lacroix, but what I do have is a good sense of what works for me…… and if any woman can find her “center” as far as her personal style is concerned – thats all you need. No designer gear can give you that.

  4. Well you certainly know how to work with what you have! Most of us can’t afford the designer gear! I’ve been reading the blogs of the likes of yourself to get my own inspiration. Unfortunately, I’m in Australia and we don’t have the range of bargains that you guys in America have. ;(

  5. Love the look! You’re very inspiring. Just had to add, though, that running the a/c doesn’t use up gasoline directly. It may make your engine work harder, though.

  6. Wow, I think Australia carries alot of nice trendy apparel at least thats what I’ve seen on the Aussie Ebay site and I didn’t think their prices were bad either, not even with shipping to the US.

Really, seems like every time I run the air vs. not running it, my gas just evaporates.

  7. This is a very well put together outfit and I know you did it on the cheap, too!

  8. I love those shoes :) great outfit, and good to see you back blogging again :)

  9. love your style. you always look great!!!

  10. Thank you ladies!

  11. We must have been doing our wardrobe clearouts at the same time, thousands of miles apart.
As I make my pledge not to buy any more new clothes for a year I wanted to see what I had.
But I/m not as brave. I labelled two huge plastic sacks with the words “If not opened by March 2009 take directly to charity shop” (thrift store).
Love your look today by the way.

  12. not sure if anyone has informed you, but they did a study regarding a/c and driving, (it was on tv) and you actually burn a tiny bit less with the a/c than with the windows down. it’s a negligible amount, but at least you aren’t LOSING any money, AND you’d be a lot cooler!!

  13. Thanks for the info! I also don’t like to burn the air because as the other poster stated its hard on your engine.

  14. I LOVE this outfit. It looks fabulous on you!

  15. Love the combination!

I’ve tagged you for a 2008 Premio Award. See my blog for details.

    Peace

  16. Love the contrasting play on colors. Oh and you only pay $4.05/gal. In So Cal we are over $4.50—I’d almost be happy to see $4.05 again.

  17. Thanks Psyche for the shout-out!! That was so nice!!

Kena, if I ride into the neighboring state (10 minutes away) its $3.89 a gallon for regular.

  18. I really like this look, especially the knit pencil skirt. I love your sexy secretary looks. I plan on using some of your ideas, hope you don’t mind.

  19. What a chic outfit! My favorite piece is the white bag, and I love that you got it at Target! It looks designer-quality.
